About Us

Party born out of Shri Anna Hazare's & Swami Ramdev’s mass movement against rampant corruption & Black Money in India, by the supporters of Anna & Ramdev with a resolution to shape a new India for the 21st Century.

How and Why VSP came into existence

The VISHVA SHAKTI PARTY was formed at a general meeting in Delhi on 18th April, 2012 by a large number of IAC activists and Supporters of Shri Anna Hazare and Swami Ramdev. The following points were discussed and debated at length among the participants.

1. Is there any opportunity for the common people to come forward and join politics which is dominated by people of money power, mussel power and politics on hereditary ground ?

2. Have the all major political parties of India failed to understand the actual problems of the people, particularly the common man, their pressing needs, their social and national concerns and their genuine aspirations ?

3. Do the people want change and reforms which are long overdue but find no alternative and they are compelled to vote for a party which they don't like ?

4. Do we really need Criminals to restrict to come to politics and lead the Nation and do we really need to restrict money power role and role of heredity in politics ?

5. Is there a pressing need for a dynamic leadership and for a new party that can deliver ? Is there a lack of a political platform for a better class of people who are honest and genuine in their intentions and who shy away from joining an exiting party because of its tainted background ?

6. do we really need for all Indians free Right to Food, Right to Education, Right to Health & medical facility, Right to Equality etc. being a basic human rights which is the main responsibility of any Government of the Country ? Is the Present Government failed in this regard ?

7. Is the recent anti-corruption and anti-black money movements has surfaced peoples resentment, their sufferings which was ignored by the exiting Government, shows its failures which required urgent need of a new political party with new thought who can understand problem of the general mass ?

8. Can and should our reverend and aged leader, Shri Anna Hazare and Swami Ramdev be asked off and on to go for fast unto death and can we expect the people to rally around him with the same strength and enthusiasm each time ?

9. Can and should we always try to pressurize our elected representatives to accept our genuine demands, which they prefer not to oblige ? And how far this extra parliamentarian method will be effective or justified ?

10. We, the followers of Shri Anna ji in general and our leader in particular, are constantly being challenged by our ruling elite to create a political party and contest elections, thereby to obtain "legitimacy" to talk to them on matters of national importance. Do we need to accept the challenge, particularly when the need for a new and dynamic political party for the 21st century India does already exist ?

After detailed discussion, it was decided by one voice that in view of the above facts and circumstances, a new political party i.e. VISHVA SHAKTI PARTY be formed which would strive to fulfill the needs of a resurgent 21st century India and also to save our country from the existing uncertainties of our existing parties and other democratic institutions.
